Arai new Honda Philippines president

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. has a new president with Hidekazu Arai replacing Rie Miyake, who will assume a new post back home with Honda Motor Co., Ltd.

Arai and Miyake were presented during a media luncheon meeting last Monday in Taguig City in which several other top Honda officials were in attendance.

“It is with great pleasure to meet you and hope to see you more often as I start my work here in the Philippines,” said Arai, who served as the chief administrator of the business planning department at Honda’s global headquarters in Japan, following significant tenures at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and the Saitama Factory.

With a strong background in business planning, finance, and electrification strategy, Arai is uniquely positioned to lead HCPI’s next chapter. His leadership will focus on advancing Honda’s commitment to sustainable mobility and strengthening the brand’s presence in the Philippine market through refined business practices that ensure superior product value and outstanding customer service.

Arai succeeds the outgoing leadership, carrying forward Honda’s mission of providing joy and mobility to Filipino customers.

For her part, outgoing president Rie Miyake thanked the media for their support during her tenure. “I am very thankful for all you support ever since I started my work here in the Philippines. You have been very supportive of Honda Philippines and I really extend my gratitude to all of you. Maraming salamat po!,” said Miyake, who went back to Japan the next day to assume a new position at the Honda Motors, Ltd.
