The Anti-Terrorism Council is stepping up efforts to address terrorism and emerging threats, Executive Secretary Ralph Recto said following its 37th meeting on Thursday.
“During the meeting, the Executive Secretary directed all concerned agencies to deliver concrete, coordinated actions grounded in vigilance, unity, and compassion for the nation’s welfare,” the Office of the Executive Secretary said in a Friday statement.
The session, convened under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to reinforce peace and order nationwide, highlighted the importance of measures based on the rule of law, solid intelligence, and shared responsibility to protect Filipinos.
Attendees included Eduardo Año”], Carlito Galvez Jr. peace adviser”], and Sabuddin Abdurahimnational Crime, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao also participated.
The ATC, established under Republic Act 11479, is mandated to prevent and address terrorism while safeguarding national security.
