More than 20,000 students and 700 educators across seven areas in the Philippines are gaining wider access to digital learning resources through a computer donation program of BDO Foundation.
The initiative provided more than 180 desktop computers and laptops to 13 schools and learning institutions in Leyte, Bulacan, Catanduanes, Quezon City, Pasay City, Taguig City and Valenzuela City.
The donated equipment is intended to support classroom instruction, research, digital learning and other educational activities, helping students and teachers make greater use of technology in their daily academic work.
By refurbishing and redistributing computers, the foundation is also extending the useful life of existing equipment, reducing electronic waste and promoting more responsible resource use.
The program addresses technology gaps that can limit access to digital educational materials, particularly in schools where computer resources are insufficient to meet learners’ needs.
Through the initiative, BDO Foundation continues to support efforts to expand digital access and provide more students and educators with tools to enhance teaching, learning and research.
