Brown Company Inc. to re-develop MisOr Provincial Capitol

Brown Company Inc., the holding company of businessman Walter Brown, has approved a joint venture agreement (JVA) with the Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental for a P2.5 billion redevelopment of the provincial capitol compound.

The Misamis Oriental Capitol Compound Development Project will transform part of the compound into a mixed-use complex, featuring office spaces, a commercial center, a high-rise multipurpose building, a dormitory, and a public park, A. Brown said in a disclosure to the stock exchange.

The project will be carried out in two phases. Phase one will include the development of office spaces, a shopping center, a park, and parking facilities. Phase 2 will focus on constructing a multilevel mixed-use building with dormitory facilities.

A. Brown said the JVA is expected to be signed on Jan. 23, 2025, after which the company will provide more details on the agreement’s terms and conditions.

This joint venture is set to bring significant economic and social benefits to Misamis Oriental, reinforcing A Brown’s commitment to driving progress and innovation.

The redevelopment of the capitol compound into an urban hub is expected to enhance local infrastructure, attract investments, and create new opportunities for the region.
