BYD Quezon Ave now open

The largest BYD dealership in the country – BYD Quezon Avenue – was inaugurated recently by the Solar Transport and Automotive Resources of the Tieng Family and is expected to start the flow of quality and affordable electric vehicles in the country soon.

The 4,000-square-meter BYD Quezon Avenue flagship has a large showroom that can showcase BYD’s pure EV line-up and is the first dealership to open under the stewardship of AC Motors, the automotive arm of the Ayala Group of Companies which was recently appointed by BYD as its official distributor in the Philippines, through its subsidiary Mobility Access Philippines Ventures, Inc. (MAPVI). It is located at 718 Quezon Avenue corner G. Araneta Street, Quezon City.

The new BYD Quezon Avenue dealership—together with Solar Transport’s original facility, BYD Makati—are the first of at least 12 BYD dealerships planned to rise in key locations nationwide over the next 12 months. This comprehensive BYD dealership roadmap is proof of AC Motors’ commitment to green technologies and confidence in the global powerhouse that is BYD.

BYD Philippines is already selling the BYD Dolphin (hatchback), BYD Han (sedan), and BYD Tang (SUV). Soon, the Atto is expected to come in within this year.

“The BYD Quezon Avenue flagship dealership is a testament to the strong partnership of AC Motors and Solar Transport, and our commitment to our valued customers to provide service that they can rely on,” says Mark Andrew Tieng, president and CEO of Solar Transport & Automotive Resources Corp.

He added: “We can assure our clients that each BYD EV will have access to exceptional after-sales service and support, including an extensive battery warranty coverage of 8 years or 150,000 kilometers. The company’s trained mechanics are dedicated to providing reliable customer service, and with the aggressive global expansion efforts and government-backed incentives taking place, BYD owners in the Philippines can expect peace of mind, reliable specialists, and a seamless ownership experience.”

James Ng, concurrent general manager of BYD Philippines and BYD Singapore, said: “The opening of BYD’s first flagship store in the Philippines not only illustrates the importance BYD attaches to the Philippine market, but also is an important step for BYD to deepen its localization in the Philippines, as BYD joins hands with its partners to practice the goal of low-carbon and green life with practical actions. This is a brand new starting point.”

The cooperation between AC Motors and Solar Transport is underpinned by a shared vision of enabling sustainable mobility solutions for Filipinos. “BYD’s presence in the country was already formidable,” says MAPVI president Toti Zara. “Thus, we look forward to scaling even bigger heights and bringing the brand closer to even more Filipinos. Building your dreams has never been more attainable, and exciting.”
