Cleanfuel opened up its newest station in Quezon City powered by solar-energy to maximize their savings and joins the bandwagon in environmentalists using sustainable energy.
The new station, Cleanfuels’ 28th in the city where it started initially with only two stations, can be found at the corner of Biak-na-Bato and Don Manuel streets.
It is the second station that is now being powered by the efficient solar power, according to Cleanfuel president and CEO Bong Suntay, who personally joined the cutting of ceremonial ribbon together with the other Cleanfuel officials.
“Our very first solar-powered station is in Marcos Highway and soon all other Cleanfuel stations will be equipped with Cleanfuel in our pursuit to help the environment. This also helps us save a lot in electricity as they can power all the electricity need of our day-time operations. During night-time, the saved electricity can be used in charging the batteries,” Suntay added.
Cleanfuel now has a total of 126 stations and Suntay said that Cleanfuel aims to have a total of 156 before the year ends. “Next week, we are opening our new gasoline station in Bulacan and the next week after another one will be opened again.”
Cleanfuel offered fuel discounts to its loyal patrons who fill their tanks during the opening day – P3 off per liter on diesel and P5 per liter on gasoline – plus added freebies. Customers who downloaded the Cleanfuel Rewards App also allows its members to access inclusive perks from loyalty rewards conveniently, earn points, redeem items from merchant partners, and stay updated on promos and discounts.
