After Filipina tennis prodigy Alex Eala reached halfway through the rare feat of winning all four juniors Grand Slams, Alex is setting her sights at making waves at the Wimbledon Championships in London next month.
Alex, 16 years old, said she has completed the necessary documents including her visa for the prestigious grass court tilt that starts July 5.
“I will be playing Wimbledon juniors, both in singles and doubles. Everything is planned out already,” Eala said in the recent Power and Play show of ex-PBA commissioner Noli Eala on Radyo Singko.
After winning the girls’ doubles titles in the 2020 Australian Open and the 2021 French Open, a Wimbledon crown would place Eala just one win away from ruling all four major tournaments, the last being the US Open.
