Eaton Expands PH Power Network as Data Center Investment Soar

As digital demand surged across the Philippines, the need for reliable power and IT infrastructure began stretching far beyond massive data centers into local branch offices, provincial hospitals, and regional sites. Recognizing this shifting landscape, Eaton, an intelligent power management company, stepped forward to expand its reach by bringing three key industry players into its fold as Tier 1 Solution Partners: AWS Distribution Phils., Corp., DataShield OEM Solutions, Inc., and Touchcore Solutions, Inc.

The first piece of the puzzle fell into place with AWS Distribution Phils., Corp., focusing on speed, agility, and scaling up for larger projects. Trina Buling, Vice President of the Data Center Solutions Team at AWS, recognized that customers facing power gaps or launching new sites need immediate solutions. By stocking Eaton’s solutions locally, AWS could react swiftly to urgent demands while building a solid groundwork for massive, three-phase UPS projects exceeding 200 kVA.

Meanwhile, DataShield stepped up to tackle the challenge of space and resource limitations. Don Membrano, Co-founder and General Manager of DataShield, pointed out that regional facilities like provincial hospitals often lack the physical footprint or budget for a traditional data center setup. To solve this, DataShield championed Eaton’s Micro Data Center (MDC) solutions—compact, integrated infrastructure units that allow local organizations to establish localized edge computing without having to construct a full facility from scratch.

Finally, Touchcore Solutions brought the physical foundation together. Partnering with Eaton, Touchcore focused on pairing Eaton’s IT racks and rack Power Distribution Units (PDUs) with their own local engineering expertise. This allowed businesses across the country to deploy organized, scalable, and efficient physical infrastructure capable of supporting long-term digital growth. Together, the three partners formed a unified ecosystem capable of empowering Philippine businesses from the ground up.
