Fajardo-led South faces tough test against towering North

WILL four of the PBA’s top big man be enough to hold down June Mar Fajardo in the coming PBA All-Star game?

It’s something Solid North coach Leo Austria will have to find out as he’ll have Japeth Aguilar, Zavier Lucero, Justine Baltazar, and Justin Arana at his disposal when they go up against the Solid South of coach Chot Reyes bannered by the 6-foot-10 Fajardo.

The league officially released the complete 12-man roster of the two All-Star teams set to tangle in the main offering of the March 6-8 festivities to be held in Candon City, Ilocos Sur.

Aguilar was voted by fans as part of the Solid North starting unit along with Calvin Abueva, CJ Perez, Stephen Holt, and rookie Juan Gomez De Liano.

Fajardo meanwhile, was also chosen by fans to lead the Solid South together with Scottie Thompson, RJ Abarrientos, Calvin Oftana, and Robert Bolick.

The rest of the two teams’ roster were later filled in by the 12 PBA coaches, with Baltazar and Converge teammate Arana, along with Lucero ending up with the Solid North.

Joining Aguilar and Co. are Adrian Nocum, Chris Newsome, CJ Cansino, and Don Trollano.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Solid South serving as Fajardo’s support crew include Roger Pogoy, JB Bahio, Leonard Santillan, Alec Stockton, Caelan Tiongson, Rey Nambatac, and Jericho Cruz.
