“We are delighted to officially launch the Next-Gen Territory today at the Manila International Auto Show in response to the growing clamor and demand from our customers and enthusiasts,” Mike Breen the Ford Philippines managing director said. “The Next-Gen Territory is a level-up SUV that complements the needs and lifestyles of Filipinos with its modern design and tech features that will let them own each driving moment and adventure.”
The Next-Gen Ford Territory was envisioned through Ford’s new ‘Progressive Energy in Strength’ design philosophy. It embodies three fundamental design principles: commanding, responsive, and smart. One look at the Next-Gen Ford Territory’s exterior and the Ford DNA is immediately visible. The Territory’s front, comprised of an integrated honeycomb grille, signature daytime running lamps, and full LED headlights lowered towards the ground to expand lighting coverage, create a more powerful look. From the front to the back, the Next-Gen Territory’s contemporary design language can be seen. The elements in the body and rear of the vehicle emphasize 3D floating graphics and represent a more youthful energy of the SUV.
Powering the Next-Gen Ford Territory is an EcoBoost 1.5L engine across both variants which delivers up to 248 Nm of torque and impressive power of up to 160 PS. This is mated with a 7-spe ed automatic transmission with wet-type Dual-Clutch engagement system, tried and tested by Ford and easily helps drivers with fast gear changes for better handling and improved fuel efficiency.
The Territory has a longer wheelbase at 2,726mm and a higher ground clearance at 190mm, giving the 5-seater SUV not just a tougher stance but good overall visibility and capability to take on a variety of road conditions.
