It’s clever of actress and producer Rebecca Chuaunsu to have thought, achieved and implemented the showing of the prizewinning “Her Locket” in cinemas nationwide to signal the coming of the Year of the Wooden Snake of the Chinese New Year this week.
On January 29, 2025, the most awaited Lunar year of the Chinese will still witness the screening of “Her Locket,” a film that deals with the intricacies of Fil-Chinese relationship and its conflicts, struggles and denouement.
Rebecca, the main star and producer of the semi-biographical film must be congratulated in her bright decision to show her project in time with the Chinese New Year celebration because the majority of the Chinoy population could be motivated to watch the Sino-Filipino life tapestry.
Being an awarded film—Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Ensemble Acting during the 2024 Sinag Maynila Film Festival–it is a motivation for the public to try and see it.
During the nationwide opening of the movie last week, Chuaunsu went to SM Naga City to enjoin the moviegoers to patronize the film.
Rebecca knows too well the secrets and essences of massive marketing, advertising and promotion of a film.
Even if Chuaunsu is an independent producer, she is familiar with the games of booking and adprom in any project, particularly film.
