Imelda Papin out, Hero Bautista in

Asia’s Sentimental Songstress is officially and finally out of the Katipunan ng mga Artista ng Pelikulang Pilipino at Telebisyon (KAPPT).

This was confirmed by action superstar Rhene Imperial who formerly was Vice-President for External Affairs of the actors’ group.

“Nagpulong na kami at sumunod kami sa batas. Hindi na si Imelda Papin ang presidente ng (We already convened and we followed the law. Imelda Papin is not the president anymore of) Actors Guild,” informed Rhene.

Right after Malacanang appointed Papin as Director of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), the Board if Directors met up and discussed the succession process.

“Dahil si Hero Bautista ang Vice’President for Internal Affairs, siya na ang presidente ng Actors Guild. ‘Yan ay ayon sa aming (Because he is the second in command, therefore, Hero Bautista is now our president. This is according to our) by-laws,” volunteered Rhene.

“Pero nand’yan pa rin si Imelda. Marami siyang maitutulong sa aming organisasyon. Like sa mga medical mission ng KAPPT, wala nang problema, nand’yan na lahat ang tulong ng (Imelda will still be around. She can help our organization more like in medical missions. There’s no problem anymore because every support is already there at) PCSO,” assured Imperial who is now the Vice-President of the Guild.

“Mas marami na kaming magagawa para sa mga artista na may mga problema (We can do more for actors who have problems),” he added
