Impressive Maxxis RAZR HT780 for my pickup

The Maxxis RAZR HT780 is a well-regarded highway-terrain tire for SUVs and 4x4s and I am truly impressed with its performance ever since they were fitted in my Nissan Navara late last year.

I organized a horseracing event early December last year at the MetroTurf Racing Complex in Malvar, Batangas that’s why I need to go there frequently for the preparations for the one-day big event.

I live in Mandaluyong City which is around 71 kms away so you can imagine how one needs to have a comfortable but sturdy ride in going to and from the racetrack in Batangas.

You couldn’t avoid the traffic along the way as it is busiest time of the year when people and their respective cargoes goes in and out for the metropolis. Cruising along the South Luzon Expressway to and from Batangas was quite easy despite the traffic along the way since both sides have now been widened. But the long road construction between the entrance of STAR Tollways up to Sto. Tomas exit would surely give you lots of headaches because of the single-line traffic most of the time.

It is along SLEX where the fun part of testing the Maxxis RAZR HT780 for me as I can accelerate the pickup to a comfortable cruising speed of 100 kph without any hassle and noise rattling the cabin. Maxxis boasts that the RAZR HT780 features noise-reducing tread patterns (Optim-Tech) and closed-end sipes for a hushed, smooth drive, absorbing road vibrations. And I had proven them every time.

I love driving at the right most side of the SLEX because of the paved and cemented road so I can go over 140 kph with the Maxxis RAZR HT780 maintaining its quietness along the way. Even when you go on the left or on the middle of the hiway, the tires are still smooth and comfortable, effectively absorbing bumps and road imperfections.

There are times that we were caught by the rains along the roads, but the Maxxis RAZR HT780 would still delivers reliable traction in wet conditions, resisting hydroplaning and maintaining grip during spirited driving.

Overall, I really love the way Maxxis RAZR HT780 tires handle my Navara and I’m very much impressed with its performance. They give me a very comfortable ride and they are very significant upgrade from the former tires that I used. – Andy Sevilla
