Veteran action star Jeric Raval opened up during his visit to Maddox Jewelry headquarters in Marikina where he spoke with Ms Charo Cordial about his family, his career, and the life lessons he learned over the years.
While shopping for wedding rings for his nephew, their conversation turned personal, covering his 18 children from seven different mothers, his daughter AJ Raval, and the choices he made in his younger years.
Asked about his biggest regret, Jeric answered candidly:
“My biggest regret in life? I have too many children. I don’t regret having them, but if I could turn back time, I probably wouldn’t do that again.”
He explained that having a large family meant there were times he couldn’t immediately provide everything his children needed, a reality that taught him valuable lessons about fatherhood.
The conversation also touched on AJ Raval, who frequently makes headlines and trends on social media.
Jeric said he chooses to respect his children’s personal decisions while continuing to guide them.
“All I want is for my daughter to be happy. I won’t become her enemy because of her personal life. As a father, my job is to give advice. Whenever they need me, I’m here.”
Looking back on his career, Jeric admitted he never planned to become an actor. He originally wanted to be a rapper, but an unexpected opportunity led him into show business, where he eventually became one of the biggest action stars of his generation.
He also recalled his early films and credited his director and acting coach for helping him develop as an actor.
Jeric said his perspective has changed over time. His mistakes taught him humility, while being a father remains the most important role he continues to embrace.
