Laguna Water intensifies El Niño response

Laguna Water is proactively addressing the potential impacts of El Niño to ensure a reliable water supply for its customers. The company continuously monitors its water sources, optimizes system operations, conducts preventive maintenance, and intensifies initiatives to reduce non-revenue water to improve efficiency. To bolster its water security, the company maintains an approximate 20% water buffer and operates key infrastructure such as the Matang Tubig Spring and the Laguna Well Field, which has a production capacity of up to 100 million liters per day. Furthermore, the addition of the Canlubang Sugar Estate (CSE) Bulk Water Supply Project in 2025 provides an extra 17 million liters per day to communities throughout Laguna.

Beyond infrastructure, Laguna Water emphasizes the importance of responsible water consumption through its Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) programs, encouraging customers to use water wisely during dry periods. The company also engages in environmental conservation efforts, including tree-planting and cleanup activities, to protect water sources and promote groundwater recharge. Through this combination of operational readiness, strategic infrastructure expansion, and community engagement, Laguna Water remains dedicated to providing sustainable water services despite the challenges posed by climate-related events like El Niño.
