LANDBANK reinforced its support for communities in Eastern Visayas on September 17 and 18, 2026, in Tacloban City by rolling out affordable financing, digital banking tools, and capacity-building initiatives. Led by LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz, the outreach aimed to empower local stakeholders—including farmers, fishers, agrarian reform beneficiaries, entrepreneurs, and students—to build stronger livelihoods and foster lasting regional progress.
For the agricultural and business sectors, the Bank held the Agrisenso Plus caravan, which provided around 1,300 farmers and fishers with low-cost loans at a 3% fixed annual interest rate, simplified application requirements, free insurance, and technical mentoring. Additionally, the Padayon Eastern Visayas MSME Fair connected roughly 250 local entrepreneurs with credit facilities and digital transaction suites like LIFTING MSMEs and SULONG to help scale their operations.
To promote digital financial inclusion, LANDBANK also hosted the 26th leg of its Cash-Lite Campus Program at Leyte Normal University. The initiative introduced students, faculty, and campus merchants to practical digital banking services, making everyday financial transactions more convenient and accessible for the academic community.
