Land Bank of the Philippines (LandBank) has launched its first “phygital” branch in Metro Manila, combining physical and digital banking services to enhance customer experience.
In a statement on Friday, LandBank announced that the Makati Business Center – Ayala Avenue Phygital Branch opened on January 30 at Robinsons Summit Center in Makati City.
This modernized branch integrates digital innovations with traditional banking to provide seamless transactions.
With this addition, LandBank now operates eight phygital branches nationwide, with plans to open at least 30 more by the end of the year.
These branches feature self-service machines, advanced queuing and tellering systems, meeting pods for consultations with marketing officers, and interactive zones for exploring banking services. Each branch also has a dedicated phygital ambassador to assist customers.
Over-the-counter transactions are streamlined through the LandBank Easy Access (LEA) system, eliminating the need for paper forms.
Account opening can be initiated via the Digital Online Banking System (DOBS) at in-branch DOBS Corners or through the bank’s website.
Additional digital services include automated teller machines (ATMs) and cash deposit machines (CDMs) that support both card and cardless transactions.
Future upgrades will introduce self-service passbook updating, ATM card issuance and updating, QR code-enabled ATM withdrawals, and enhanced mobile and web banking features.
“Our phygital branches represent a bold and timely step forward in bridging traditional banking with digital innovation. This reflects LANDBANK’s commitment to empower Filipinos by delivering accessible, customer-focused, and inclusive financial services,” said LandBank President and CEO Lynette Ortiz.
