Let’s be champions of a more sustainable future!

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) celebrated the turnover ceremony of the Bike Lane Master Plan (BLMP) in Quezon City today, 27 July 2023. 

The plan, developed in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and Local Government Units (LGUs), aims to foster efficient and interconnected bike lanes in the key metropolitan areas, such as the Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, and Metro Davao.

During the ceremony, DOTr Assistant Secretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure James Andres Melad conveyed his gratitude, on behalf of Transportation Secretary Jaime J. Bautista, to all stakeholders, for their solid commitment and collective coordination in the successful realization of the project.

“The success of this master plan depends not only on the infrastructure we build, but also on the collective efforts of all stakeholders. It requires a shift in mindset and a willingness to embrace change. It calls for collaboration between government agencies, civil society, private sector partners, and most importantly, our citizens,” Asec. Melad remarked.
