Snack food giant Monde Nissin Corp. is gearing up to begin construction of a large-scale manufacturing facility in northern Luzon, with initial operations targeted between 2026 and 2027.
In a virtual briefing held last week, Monde Nissin Chief Financial Officer Jesse Teo shared that the new plant is intended to expand production of its well-known biscuit brands, including SkyFlakes and Graham, in response to growing domestic and global demand.
“We’re still finalizing the plans for the new plant. I think the building will start soon and the spending will accelerate in the next few months, next few quarters, as we target to start up some parts of the new plant, northern Philippines plant, sometime in 2026 and 2027,” Teo said.
The company has allocated P7.55 billion in capital expenditures for 2025, with P6.6 billion earmarked for its Asia Pacific branded food segment, which includes the forthcoming biscuit production facility.
Monde Nissin also posted strong financial results for the first quarter of 2025. Revenues rose by 2.8 percent to PHP20.9 billion, up from P20.3 billion in the same period last year. Its core net income also saw a modest increase of 1.5 percent, reaching P2.9 billion from P2.88 billion year-on-year.
