After 20 years of robust growth and successes, the Gateway Group of Companies, the country’s largest and trusted automotive dealership, is aiming to serve their rapidly expanding customers with highly-efficient and service-oriented personnel for another 20 years.
This is emphasized by Michael Goho, the executive vice president of the Gateway Group of Companies, as the company embarks on another year of serving the local car buyers starting from Cebu and now to Manila.
“We have been blessed with 20 years of growth and successes and we would like to thank our customers primarily for supporting us through the years. For another 20 years, we aspire for sustainability and more service-oriented on our business of providing excellent mobility choices,” Michael said.
With a mere Kia dealership in Cebu that was acquired by his late father Martin, Michael has lend a big help to his brother Markane, the company chairman, in expanding Gateway to Manila recently and become the biggest car dealership in the country today.
Their decision to concentrate on only 10 top car brands paid off handsomely as they continue their expansion in Manila. “My brother Markane is definitely the main captain who steered the company to what it is now today. We are also very thankful to our people whom we acquired directly from the dealerships we had taken over who are currently servicing our clients with integrity and trust.”
Gateway’s currently carries the country’s top brands such as Mitsubishi, Honda, Nissan, Kia, Suzuki, Hyundai, MG, Geely, Jetour, and Fuso.
Most of the officers handling the everyday operations in the various showrooms are mostly holdovers from the various operators that they had taken over. “We are truly blessed that these people perform great enough to satisfy our expanding number of clients. As we greet our next 20th year of operation, our company has also introduced several innovative business ideas in order to further improve our services and customer-experience,” he said.
Each car brands now has respective heads to oversee the operational needs of their respective car brands reporting directly to the president Raymund Basubas. This assures immediate attention to all the needs and problems that emanate from the various showrooms and dealerships.
Gateway also boasts of good incentives and commission packages to all its employees compared with the standards in the market today. The management gives full support and incentives to their employees in order to uplift their morale and gave their best towards the customers.
The new year looks even brighter for Gateway as it looks forward to opening more showrooms across the country.
“The trust and confidence that are also being given to Gateway by our partner car manufacturers inspires us to open more stores for our brands as the economy continues to look brighter in the future,” said Michael.
In his speech during the recent 20th anniversary celebration of the company, Michael was quoted as saying: “We are in a great position economically as the industry continues to soar across the country, various developments and advancements across all brands. It is indeed a very competitive and robust market with many China brands and new players, hybrid and EV models. So many products, so many options, so many opportunities, all the more with the astounding bank support. Many milestones will continue to be achieved, and many breakthroughs will continue to unravel. I hope we continue our strategic approaches with products, aggressive approaches with promos, marketing, incentives, subsidies, and overall aftersales support to ensure overwhelming advantages and improvements in terms of productivity and efficiency. It is ideal for all of us to do much better. So much talented people working tirelessly across the network. Together, we can leave a lasting impact in the Philippine automotive industry as we continue to progress. Let us capitalize on all avenues to ensure sustainability.”
