Call it natural, it was Llly Y. Monteverde–better known in the local entertainment industry as Mother Lily–who posted on her Instagram the sad news that her husband, Leonardo Monteverde, also known aa Father Remy died.
According to the obituary card posted by Mother Lily in July 30, 2024, the Monteverde patriarch died on July 29, 2024.
The obit added that hus remains laid in state at the Valencia Events Place in Quezon City and would be sent to his final resting place on July 2, 2024.
He was 86.
Call it peculiar, but one day after he was buried, Mother Lily was pronounced dead in social media.
At first, the whole entertainment community was adamant to believe her passing.
Until it was the Monteverde family that officially announced her demise.
The family confirmed that Mother Lily died Sunday dawn.
“Mother Lily was surrounded by her children and grandchildren in her final hours. She was blessed with chance to say goodbye to her closest friends and associates who bid her farewell yesterday before she left for that trip back home to the Divine Father,” stated the statement of the Monteverde family through Regal Entertainment website.
“The family is at peace now that their mother has not only found rest but has joined their father Remy in that place called eternity–as they were together in life as they will be together where there is no space or time,” added the family.
Mother Lily has been the symbol of successful filmmaking in her reign as producer for decades that started in the late 70s.
Mother Lily’s remains will also lie in state at the Valencia Events Place.
The viewing will start at 3 pm tomorrow, Monday.
Interment will be on August 10, 2024 at the Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City.
She was 84.
