NCSC turns back hands of time; meets leaders of SC groups in Bagac, Bataan

The threat of reported super typhoon “Betty” had no effect to the brave senior citizens of Bagac, Bataan as dozens of them trooped to the venue where the dialogue consultation was held in Bgy. Parang Bagac, Bataan.

Comm. Rainier Cruz kicked off ceremonies with a highly informative speech that touched on the senior citizens’ right to legit discounts on travel privileges, food and medicine purchase, among others.

Cruz also shared other laws to protect the rights and welfare of the elderly on wellness, healthcare benefits and social justice.

Shifting to another gear, Comm. Reymar Mansilungan made a lengthy talk that enumerated the laws that created and strengthened the programs and policies beneficial to the country’s elderly.

Mansilungan also shared the brief history of the NCSC including the transfer of duties and functions from the DSWD to the NCSC.

The two Comms also praised Francisco Toledo, pres. of Senior Citizens Association of Bagac, Bataan School Division Superintendent Carol Violeta and active civic leader Marivic- Umiña Umandap.

It was like a travel on a Time Machine for the NCSC Team, who took a mini tour of the breath-taking Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar on a sizzling hot Saturday.

The fun educational mini tour was done just before the scheduled consultation dialogue with leaders of Bagac Senior Citizen organizations, LGUs and PWDOs.
