The Department of Justice (DOJ) and Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) have re-scheduled the bid submission for its first Public-Private Partnership, the Regional Prison Facilities, from August 25 to November 24, 2016 at 1:00 PM.
The pre-qualified bidders for the project were informed through a General Bid Bulletin (GBB) signed by the Pre-qualification, Bids and Awards Committee (PBAC) Chairperson, Chief State Counsel Ricardo V. Paras III.
There are three pre-qualified bidders for this P50.2 billion PPP project and these are Mega Structure Consortium, San Miguel Holdings Corp. and DM Consunji, Inc.
The modern prison facility will be constructed in Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija. It is proposed to accommodate 26, 880 inmates with a staff housing and administrative buildings, rehabilitation areas and high security equipment.
The private partner will be responsible for the financing, detailed design and construction, and maintenance of the prison facility.
