Shell Pilipinas Inc., one of the Big 3 in the local fuel market, held its 11th staging of the Shell Media Golf early this month as part of its 111th anniversary celebration at the Manila Golf & Country Club.
Led by its lady president and CEO Lorelie Osial, the event gathered media practitioners from broadcast, print, digital media, and other guests from the government and private sectors.
“We are really very honored with your participation in our annual event which is now on it 11th year as we celebrate our milestone 111th anniversary. We hope you enjoyed the whole day with fun and camaraderie,” said Osial.
The event was organized by a team led by Shell vice president for corporate affairs Serge Bernal Jr. together with Manny Castaneda. “Thank you very much for joining this year’s gathering for our media friends. We really value our partnership as we look forward to more years of your support in all our activities,” said Bernal.
The day winners included: broadcaster Anthony Suntay, the overall champions with a two-under-par 70; Musong Castillo (Class A), Abante Radyo anchor Ely Saludar (Class B), former press secretary Herminio “Sonny” Coloma Jr. (Class C), and Philippine Star’s Mary Anne Reyes (Ladies Division). Shell’s Paolo Sillona took home the Shell Champion trophy. Fun hole winners were: Manuel Alfredo Dacanay — “Longest Drive” (291 yards), Kael Suntay — “Nearest to the Pin,” and Waylon Galvez — “Most Accurate Drive” award.
A 65” TCL smart TV, Apple Watch, and Marshall speakers were raffled off to all lucky winners while Shell also gave away memorable gift items.
