Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, Admiral Ronnie Gil Gavan recently honored the brave men and women deployed in Bajo De Masinloc (BDM) during a simple recognition ceremony at Pier 15 Port Area Manila.
CG Admiral Gavan bestowed the AWARD OF COAST GUARD BRONZE CROSS MEDAL AND RIBBON to 36 personnel of Barko ng Republika ng Pilipinas (BRP) Malabrigo (MRRV-4402) and various units of the PCG.
During the ceremony, CG Admiral Gavan emphasized the PCG’s critical role in asserting the country’s sovereign rights over the BDM.
He also thanked fellow Coast Guardians for their steadfast commitment to serving the country with utmost excellence.
Also present at the ceremony were Commander of Coast Guard Education Training and Doctrine Command, Vice Admiral Charlie Rances; Commander of Coast Guard Public Affairs Service, Rear Admiral Armando Balilo; Commander of Coast Guard Fleet, Commodore Edgar Ybañez; Acting Commander of Coast Guard District National Capital Region – Central Luzon, Commodore Arnaldo Lim and other PCG senior officers and non-officers.
