Engineer Ernesto S. De Castro was elected national president of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers Inc. (Pice) in a during an executive session of the newly elected National Board of Directors that was held recently at the Bacolod SMX Convention Center, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental province.
De Castro is the founder of Esca Inc., which offers structural design, civil engineering, and project and construction-management services. In over 30 years of operations, it has cultivated and applied expertise in commercial, industrial, institutional and residential projects of varying scale and complexity, both local and international.
The other national officers elected were Ador G. Canlas (National Government-Angeles City), first vice president; Clemente A. Ibo (Construction Agency – Albay-Legazpi City), second vice president; Nerie Bueno (National Government-Baguio City), secretary; Albert A. Perfecto (Government Corporation-Quezon City), treasurer; Restituto C. Bautista (Construction Industry-Angeles City), business manager; Erdsan Rene S. Suero (National Government- Davao City), auditor; and Cesar C. Pabalan (Consulting/Private Practitioner-Makati), public relations officer.
The national directors include Peter Paul D. Dy (Construction Industry-Cebu City), Robert S. Licup (Consulting/Private Practitioner-Quezon City), Rosein A. Ancheta Jr. (Educators/Academe), Mariano R. Alquiza (National Government-Misamis Oriental, Cagayan de Oro), Lea N. Delfinado (National Government-Negros Occidental), Guillermo C. Suñega Jr. (Local Government-San Pablo), and Rodney P. Menchavez (Local Government-Cebu City).
