It was a violent and bloody scene straight not from a reel world but from a real life scenario.
From a sketchy report by the Quezon City Police Department (QCPD), actor Ronaldo Valdez, Ronald James Dulaca Gibbs in real life, was found bloodied, sitting on a chair while still holding a gunhand, by his driver Angelito Oclarit who called on Janno Gibbs, the actor’s son who checked the condition of his dad.
Soon after, Angelito and Janno asked the assistance of Julia Gaspar, president of Casa Nueva Association, who reported the incident to Barangay Mariana in New Manila, Quezon City.
Ronaldo was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital but he was pronounced dead at 4:16 pm on December 17, 2023 by attending physician Dr. Johnvet Batara.
According to the forensic report of the Quezon City Police Department, discovered from the scene were caliber .45 Norinco pistol with serial number 454697 with inserted empty magazine, one (1) fired cartridge case and a gun case containing one empty magazine.
Cursory investigation showed victim sustained wounds on the right and left temple.
It was learned from the police files that Ronaldo was suffering from depression due to prostate cancer operation last December 2022.
Ronaldo was survived by his wife Maria Fe Ilagan and children Janno and Melissa Gibbs.
