Popular showbiz fortune teller dies

Aurea Erfelo, better known as Madam Auring in and outside show business, died noon today due to a lingering illness.

It must be remembered that Madam Auring was hospitalized every now and then in the last few years because of various body ailments. She was so industrious that after hospitalization she would go back to her stalls in malls to sell beauty items and to perform fortunetelling to her clients.

According to his grandson Simon, it was only a few days ago that he paid her grandmother a visit to bring her a lot of pasalubong (souvenirs) and other daily needs.

Simon admitted he couldn’t easily forget her grandma’s love and concern not only for him but for the whole family. He recalled the sacrifices the lady psychic did for the sake of her children and grandchildren.

“Grabe ang pinagdaan mo during your senior years pero you still worked hard for your family (us) I feel sad and happy,” sighed Simon in his Facebook pages.

“Happy ako kasi you have done everything you could to make us feel loved the way you know how, your struggles are over. You fought your battles silently. Magkikita na kayo ni Mama sa kabilang buhay,” he said.

His sadness and grief, though, have been overwhelming, he said. It’s because he remembered the memories he shared with Madam. “Sad,kasi I will never see you again, mga wisdom words mo, korni jokes, happy bondings, and pagkurot sa aking pisngi hanggang mamula,” he recounted.

No details yet of the funeral rites for Madam at the moment.

 Auring was 80.
