Private sector lauds government’s enhanced water distribution system

The private sector has lauded the government’s efforts in improving the water distribution system in Metro Manila, noting that it has successfully enhanced and sustained the region’s water distribution system.

The improved pipelines and water systems have enabled the government to reduce system losses and mitigate flooding in prone areas.

This was highlighted by the Private Sector Advisory Council on Infrastructure Sector Group (PSAC-ISG) during a presentation to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. at his 5th meeting with the body in Malacañang on Thursday.

The PSAC-ISG for the Water Sector was represented by Ramoncito Fernandez of Metro Pacific Investments Corp.

During the meeting, the PSAC-ISG emphasized the need to ensure a sustainable and safe water supply across the country by replicating the successful model implemented in Metro Manila. They also advocated for using rivers to mitigate flooding and enhance water distribution.
