28 September 2017 (Geneva) – The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that the 2017 World Passenger Symposium (WPS) will focus on how technology, data, customization and digital transformation will reshape the customer experience of tomorrow.
“Digital transformation is a key strategic driver for our industry. Our customers are telling us what they value through the choices they make: from their preferred digital device to shop for air travel, to what they purchase, to how they check-in, to their onboard service options. The successful airline will use that information to transform themselves and deliver a more personalized experience to passengers. The World Passenger Symposium is a forum to discuss and debate how this transformation can be achieved,” said Aleks Popovich, IATA’s Senior Vice President, Financial and Distribution Services.
The 7th edition of WPS will take place in Barcelona, 24-26 October. More than 700 high-level delegates from across the travel value chain are expected to attend.
