PHNOM PENH – In a thrilling showdown at AEON Mall Sen Sok City, See You Soon emerged as the champions in the MPL Cambodia Autumn Split 2023 Grand Finals by defeating CFU Gaming. This victory not only secured them the lion’s share of the $40,000 prize pool but also earned them the honor of competing in the M5 World Championship to be held in Manila this coming December 2 to 17.
In a nail-biting contest that went down to the wire with a final score of 4:3, See You Soon thwarted CFU Gaming’s aspirations of making their M World Series debut. This best-of-seven (Bo7) match series pushed both teams to their limits.
See You Soon, led by Mon “RunTheKing” Phearun, Leng “SryImFelix” Kimhak, Sovan “Raa” Chanmakara, Poly “Trabot” Titrabot, and bolstered by Filipino talents Clarence Jay “Kusey” Camilo and Michael “MP The King” Endino, displayed exceptional teamwork and skill. The coaching duo of Vitou “CatGod” Chhim and Nim “Suki” Seyha provided crucial guidance to the team throughout their journey to victory.
Regrettably, the defending champions Burn X Flash had to settle for third place this season after suffering a devastating loss to CFU Gaming in the lower brackets final match.
The MPL Cambodia Autumn Split 2023 witnessed an enthusiastic audience of more than 1,000 spectators who flocked to witness the action live and in person.
