A couple of prisoners, doing time for murder, at a high-security prison in Sweden took two guards hostage and demanded pizzas as ransom.
A spokesperson for the penitentiary located at Hallby near Eskilstuna which is some 120 kilometers from Sweden’s capital, Stockholm, said the hostage situation was peacefully resolved and no one was hurt.
The inmates forced themselves into an area reserved for guards and took two guards hostage.
After negotiators were called, the hostage-takers made two demands – a helicopter to escape and 20 pizzas for the other inmates.
The two prisoners reportedly surrendered after the pizzas were delivered. They were taken to the police station for questioning for “kidnapping”.
