The Philippines is still where Gloria Sevilla’s spirit reigns.

Although she has gone to eternity, her memory lingers in each and every Filipino movie and television watchers who treasure her virtual presence onscreen.
Just as she died while kith and kin took vigil on her in the US, her ashes will be brought to the Philippines.
“It’s with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Gloria Sevilla, the Queen of the Visayan Movies in Oakland, Californias at 11 am, 04/16/22. She died peacefully in her sleep. We appreciate all those praying for the repose of her soul. Thank you,” informed Dandin Ranillo, one of the late actress’ sons in our online conversation moments after Tita (a term of endearment expression to an older woman by affinity or by blood where she is a sister of one’s parents) Glo breathed her last.
“Iuuwi ang ashes (will be brought) to be buried sa (in the) Philippines. We will schedule a gathering of friends,” he added and spoke on behalf of the Ranillo family.
“I will let you know the schedule of viewing sa Pinas (in the Philippines),” quipped Dandin.
