Vince Tanada’s “Ang Bangkay” holds a limited pre-Xmas preview

Finally, the Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature Grand Winner in Full-Length Play, “Ang Bangkay” (2012) penned by Vince Tanada is now on the big screen.

Aside from initial previews done two years ago, there was a limited special screening of the film held four days before Christmas Day last year at the Blackbox Theater of Philstagers Foundation in Calabash Road in Balic-Balic in Manila.

Vince Tanada, the actor, producer, writer and director of the film was around during the showing and answered queries about the project after the preview.

Wala po akong balak na ipalabas itong ‘Ang Bangkay’ sa mga sinehan sa Pilipinas. Mas malamang ay sa ibang bansa ko ito ipapalabas (I don’t have plans of showing this in theaters in the Philippines. I would rather show this abroad),” announced Tanada.

According to Vince, stage, television and film actress Evelyn Vargas-Knaebel is the one coordinating with the showing of the film abroad, particularly in Europe.
