Hino Motors Philippines Corporation (HMP) teams up with logistics giant J&T Express as the latter expands its fleet operations this year to almost 500 units of Hino trucks since the partnership started in 2020.
Keeping pace with the country’s robust e-commerce market and the growing demand for last-mile delivery services, the two companies formally sign a strategic partnership deal covering more than a hundred units of Hino trucks this time. These comprise of the Hino 300 Series 916 (XZU730L) and 616 models (XZU710L) as well as Hino 500 Series 1625 Long (FG8JP7A) and 2629 6×2 (FL8J).
The signing ceremony held at the Hino headquarters in Calamba, Laguna on February 16 was attended by J&T Express chief executive officer Dean Ding, HMP chairman Vicente T. Mills, Jr., HMP president Shingo Sakai, J&T Express director of procurement Arron Wang, director of operations John Yi and Hino Paranaque president Edward Tan.
“We have been a witness to J&T Express’ growth from being a new player in the logistics arena and now a giant in the industry. Truly, J&T Express has become a part of the Hino family, and we look forward to continuing this relationship with them. We understand the demands for such a big company, and that’s why we are willing to offer customizable plans for their maintenance and repair needs to sustain everyday use of the trucks,” Mills said.
On the other hand, Ding said: “Hino has been one of the fleet partners by our side that supported our operations with quality aftersales services and impressive truck production that stood the test of time. With the growing demands of the e-commerce industry, we aim to continue expanding our fleet to provide quality last-mile delivery services for our customers. We are happy to continue our partnership with Hino.”
Through almost 50 years of its operations, Hino remains consistent with its commitment to create trucks and buses that do more and provide total support to its customers from manufacturing and customization to aftersales services.
The ceremony also highlighted Hino’s latest offering – the Hino 200 series – the lightest commercial vehicle in their line-up that is poised to be the perfect partner for logistics companies for their last-mile deliveries.
