Hyundai celebrates 1st anniversary

Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) celebrated its first anniversary in the country with a 3-day electrifying exhibit of its car lineup, spearheaded by the 2023 World Car of the Year Hyundai Ioniq 6, and media showing of its global partnership with Sony Pictures – “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” over the weekend at the SM Megamall Fashion Hall in Mandaluyong City.

From June 23-25, the special Hyundai Mobility Experience set-up was a big hit to the Hyundai car fans and mallgoers as they get to see up close the various Hyundai cars that are now in the market.

“Hyundai Motor is more than a car company. We are committed to finding ways to enhance people’s mobility experience. The month of June marks our founding anniversary as Hyundai Motor Philippines. We are grateful and inspired to continue upholding our vision of progress for humanity to our Filipino customers, alongside our network of dealers and partners,” according to Mr. Cecil Capacete, Managing Director. “Which brings me to sharing the variety of activities we have prepared for our first anniversary. The festivities begin here at the Megamall Fashion Hall. Today, not only are we officially opening our interactive booth but also rolling out our month-long raffle promo. The celebrations will be extended all the way up to the end of July, with another major activity in Alabang focused on our existing Hyundai owners.”

Aside from the Ioniq 6, which starts selling locally today (with the GLS 2WD Long Range model going for P3,798,000), the other Hyundai vehicles that were exhibited (most of them were made available for test drives within the vicinity) consisted of Staria, Tucosn, Stargazer, Creta, Santa Fe, and even the Ioniq 5 (the World Car of the Year in 2022).

The Ioniq 5, Hyundai’s flagship EV, showcased its Vehicle-To-Load (V2L) function by powering up the on-site ice cream bar and lounge that served free ice cream all day long to all the visitors.

The Iconic Bamboo also performed free courtesy of Hyundai to the wild cheers of the huge Sunday mall crowd.

Those who placed reservations for either the Creta, Santa Fe, Stargazer or Tucson, were given a P10,000 voucher and a Hyundai-branded New Earth Washable Paper Bag Tote. HMPH’s nationwide offer will be giving 48 new Hyundai owners rewards amounting to as much as P100,000 pesos.

To qualify for an entry, a booking on any variant of the Creta, Stargazer, Tucson or Santa must be made between June 23 to July 30, 2023 at one of the authorized Hyundai dealerships in the country. The prizes are not granted as cash but rather as discount, so to claim, the winning participant shall proceed with the purchase of the reserved unit by Aug. 18.
