More Filipino workers will have access to affordable housing as Pag-IBIG Fund expands its partnership with private developers, with Filinvest Land Inc. becoming its latest partner under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program.
The partnership will open select Filinvest residential projects to Pag-IBIG Housing Loan financing, with qualified members eligible for preferential prices and other incentives on participating units.
Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary and Pag-IBIG Fund Board of Trustees Chairman Jose Ramon P. Aliling said the tie-up strengthens the government’s collaboration with the private sector in making homeownership more accessible to Filipino families.
“Under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Expanded 4PH Program, we have already made significant gains in bringing more affordable housing opportunities within reach of Filipino families, and we are building on this momentum,” Aliling said.
“By working more closely with the private sector and bringing more of the country’s leading developers into this shared effort, we can open even more opportunities for our people,” he added.
Aliling witnessed Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene C. Acosta and Filinvest Land President and CEO Tristan Las Marias sign a memorandum of understanding in Quezon City formalizing the partnership.
The agreement gives qualified Pag-IBIG Housing Loan borrowers access to preferential pricing on select units in participating Pag-IBIG-accredited Filinvest projects.
Homebuyers may also take advantage of Pag-IBIG Fund’s housing loan limit of up to ₱10 million, including a subsidized interest rate of 3% per annum for qualified socialized housing borrowers under Expanded 4PH.
Pag-IBIG Fund is also offering promotional rates of 4.5% per annum for loans of up to ₱4.9 million and 5.75% for loans above ₱4.9 million and up to ₱10 million.
Las Marias said the partnership combines Filinvest Land’s residential developments with Pag-IBIG Fund’s financing programs to give qualified buyers more pathways to homeownership.
“Our partnership with Pag-IBIG Fund allows us to help more Filipino families move closer to owning a home by giving qualified buyers access to financing options and incentives across select Filinvest Land developments,” Las Marias said.
The partnership will also bring Pag-IBIG housing services closer to prospective buyers through home-matching activities, housing fairs, property exhibits and information drives.
Pag-IBIG Fund will provide housing loan orientations and assistance, while Filinvest Land will identify participating projects and available units, subject to program guidelines.
Acosta said the partnership would allow Pag-IBIG Fund to complement its affordable financing with a wider selection of homes and preferential offers from Filinvest.
The Filinvest agreement forms part of Pag-IBIG Fund’s continuing drive to strengthen ties with major property developers and expand housing options for its members under the Expanded 4PH Program.
Pag-IBIG Fund has recently entered into similar partnerships with SM Development Corp. and Ayala Land residential brands Avida Land and Amaia Land, further expanding private-sector participation in the government’s housing initiative.
