Action star John Regala dies with pains in his heart

After years of battling physical and emotional pains, award-winning actor John Regala has passed to the next life.

John died of organ failures due to complications in his kidney and liver diseases.

Regala, John Paul Guido Boucher Scherrer in real life, was hospitalized a lot times since he was diagnosed with cirrhosis.

During the height of the pandemic, John was found roaming around Manila to seek for financial help until he was taken back to his home in Quezon City by the TV production team of then plain broadcaster and now senator Raffy Tulfo.

Regala was the son of late actors Mel Francisco and Ruby Regala, a situation he would always feel lost and abandoned after Mel had denied him as his own.

Known as a tough action star, John would always bear the brunt of his father’s denial although his mother would always comfort him.

Last Saturday, though, the Regala scion had succumbed to his physical sicknesses.

According to Gina Alonzo, John’s partner for the longest time, her husband was already relieved of sufferings.

“Love masaya ka na wala ka nang hirap at sakit na mararamdaman pa mahal kita (Love you are happy that you don’t have anymore suffering and pain to feel anymore. I love you),” said Alonzo in her Facebook wall.

Regala’s remains lie at the St. Peter Chapel in Commmonwealth Avenue in Quezon.

He was 58.
