The American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, Inc. (AmCham) has announced its new set of officers for next year.
Marriott Hotel General Manager Bruce Winton will be the new AmCham president, taking over the position from the Chamber’s current President, CBRE Philippines Chairman, CEO and Founder Rick Santos.
Santos will serve as first vice president next year while Dow Chemical Pacific Ltd. Country Director Roberto Batungbacal as the chamber’s second vice president.
Santos and Batungbacal will be replacing Quezon Power (Philippines) Ltd. Co. Managing Director Frank Thiel and Convergys Philippines Chairman Marife Zamora as the first and second vice president, respectively.
AmCham’s treasurer next year will be Chevron Phils., Inc. General Manager International Products Peter Morris.
Romulo, Mabanta, Buenaventura, Sayoc & Delos Angeles Law Office’s Atty. Aileen Tolosa-Lerma and Ebb Hinchcliffe will retain their positions as corporate secretary and executive director of the business group, respectively.
US Ambassador to the Philippines Sung Y. Kim will also hold the position of honorary chairman of AmCham next year.
AmCham serves the interests of Philippine and American businesses through the participation of members in promoting their long-term objectives, while contributing to the civic and economic development in the country.
