BDO Pay has been named Best Digital Wallet in the Philippines at The Asian Banker Philippine Awards 2026, recognizing its efforts to make everyday payments and banking transactions more convenient for customers.
The digital wallet allows users to access their BDO accounts and cards through a single application without the need to cash in before making payments. Customers can pay in stores, transfer funds, settle bills and monitor account balances without switching between multiple platforms.
BDO Pay also provides rewards and offers that give customers additional value from their everyday transactions.
The Asian Banker said BDO Pay demonstrates how digital wallets can become part of customers’ daily routines by going beyond basic payments and providing a more seamless banking experience.
“By combining comprehensive functionality with strong customer adoption and ecosystem integration, BDO Pay has established a differentiated digital banking experience,” the publication said.
Roy Villareal, head of Digital for Consumer Banking at BDO, said digital banking should make routine financial transactions easier and more affordable.
“Everyday payments should be easy and cost less. With BDO Pay, users can pay, send money, split bills, and transfer funds via InstaPay and PESONet with no fees—giving them more flexibility and more value in every transaction,” Villareal said.
The award recognizes financial institutions that use digital services and innovation to provide practical and meaningful value to customers as digital payments become increasingly integrated into everyday transactions.
