Right after Mara Lopez’s tying the knot with young American fiancé Chandler Booth in a scenic island in Palawan, 1982 Binibining Pilipinas-Universe and actress Maria Isabel Lopez got a call slip from GMA Network, one of the television stations that has been getting her artistic services.
It was to appear in a cameo in the top-rating show, “Widows War” top billed by Carla Abellana and Bea Alonzo.
Without batting an eyelash, Maria Isabel said the affirmative and readied herself to face the cameras all over again after some time that she was staying in the US with husband, lawyer Jonathan Melrod.
“It’s a blessing at the start of the year,” exclaimed Lopez.
It was indeed the whole cast of the series that included Bea Alonzo, Rafael Rossell, Jean Garcia, director Jerry Sineneng, among others, that welcomed her to the fold.
Bea led the welcoming team to the veteran actress.
Maribel and the rest of the creatives were served with a special meal to signal the special appearance of the award-winning actress and former beauty queen.
“Don’t miss my participation in the teleserye,” said Maria Isabel who is always available for work in the Philippines even if she also dabbles in the visual arts here and abroad.
Meanwhile, actress Melissa Mendez also held a get-together party during the holiday season for Maribel whom she hasn’t seen for a while as well as fellow beauty queen-actress Azenith Briones who tendered a New Year’s party for the visiting colleague.
