A total of 30 teams are participating in the biggest overlanding competition set in October with over P1-million worth of prizes up for grabs.
Mototesto Overland Equipment, in cooperation with Petron Philippines and Motolite, is the organizer of the 2022 Petron Philippine Overland Expedition: Pacific Coast Challenge that will coincide simultaneously with the 6th Philippine Overland Expo.
The expedition will start at the LausGroup Event Centre in San Fernando, Pampanga and participants will travel the 285-km run that ends in General Nakar, Quezon. The teams shall garner points based on completion of quests across the trail, with 160 kilometers of asphalt road, and 120 kilometers of gravel, sand, mud, rocky paths, and river crossings. The team with the highest score at the finish line will be declared as the country’s first ever Petron Philippine Overland Expedition champion.
Celebrating with the teams at the last stop are outdoor enthusiasts and spectators at the Overland Expo. Campers will be enjoying four days and three nights of undistracted nature adventure, with like-minded individuals that share the same passion and adrenaline for the extraordinary.
Tim Tuazon, president and CEO of Mototesto, and also a hardcore enthusiast, would like to impart the knowledge he has gained from years of overlanding around the Philippine Archipelago.
“The main goal of creating this event is to showcase the beauty of the Philippines, and strengthen the bond with our Mototesto customers, while fostering unforgettable experiences with them,” Tuazon said.
