BPI clinches 3 honors at Global Cards & Payments Innovation Awards

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) bagged three awards, namely “Best Card Application Initiative,” “Best Credit Card for Affluent/HNWI Clients,” and “Outstanding Marketing Campaign Initiative,” at the Global Cards & Payments Innovation Awards 2024 by The Digital Banker. 

“We are proud to have been recognized for our commitment to providing customers with delightful banking experiences, to developing effective solutions, and addressing the diverse needs of our customers,” said Jenny Lacerna, BPI’s Head of Mass Retail. 

BPI won the award for Best Card Application Initiative for having launched a groundbreaking digital innovation that enables the Bank’s select customers to apply for a credit card and get instant approval, all in less than 3 minutes, or as fast as a Coffee Break. 

The BPI Signature Card was also recognized as the Best Credit Card for Affluent/HNWI Clients. The Bank’s affluent cardholders were provided with a distinctive experience, offering privileges such as accelerated points earning, travel benefits, and Signature Exclusives – 50% Off Dining Deals. 

Meanwhile, BPI Credit Cards also bagged the award for Outstanding Marketing Campaign Initiative. The campaign, comprised of The Real Deal, Oh My Deals! app and a pervasive advertising campaign. It was designed to push the boundaries of traditional marketing. By weaving in the customers’ moments of truth, BPI created memorable and impactful experiences that resonate with its audience. From immersive advertising to a user-friendly app that simplifies access to exciting promos, BPI Cards has redefined customer engagement.

The Global Cards & Payments Innovation Awards celebrate the world’s prominent and groundbreaking payment service providers and payment technology companies that are transforming the global payments ecosystem. Using a proprietary and qualitative scoring methodology, The Digital Banker’s judging panel assessed the winning entries with focus on Innovation, Experience, Engagement, and Security.
