Bulacan vice-governor Alex Castro favors the reduction of criminal liability to age 12 among the country’s youth in line with rising incidence of crimes involving children.
The former actor-turned-politician said juvenile crime rate has become so alarming that needs to be updated.
“Today’s children are far different from the children of, say, 10 years ago or moredue to their exposure to social media and information overload,” Castro said.
Media caught up with the actor-politician at the June 25 launch of a scent for men named after him, Alex. Part of a new product line from Beautederm, Alexis compared to “a creamy matcha latte with a hint of subtle musk.”
Castro was joined by his wife, Sexbombdancer Sunshine Garcia, who also launched her own self-titled perfume under Beautederm. Sunshine and Alex have been longtime endorsers of the brand, forging an enduring friendship with its founder and president, Rhea Anicoche Tan.
Ms. Rhea proudly stated that Alex was among her very first endorsers, starting in 2013. Alex’s journey has seen him transition from being a striving actor to town councilor to provincial vice-governor. “Wala na ako sa showbiz,” he said.
All eyes are on him in the 2028 elections should he decide to run for Bulacan governor. Ms. Rhea calls it the scent of success.
The Beautederm line of bespoke fragrances includes Audrey, a fresh scent with flower and vanilla overtones, Rei an elegant blend of powdery perfume, subtle flower and clean overtones.
Two others in Beautederm’s newfragrance line are Rein, for people who prefer light perfumes and summery daytime scent; and Sunshine, with a sophisticated, woodsy, flowery aroma.
