Everyone has seen the pumpkins, the bats and fangs. Everyone has seen little girls and boys lining up to buy costumes of their favorite characters. Make no mistake: Halloween has arrived.
But as much as it is famous for being the holiday that allows people to dress themselves up and scare others, coming up with unique ideas to turn homes into haunted houses can prove to be a challenge sometimes. Fortunately, household-appliance brand Hanabishi has come up with a few fantastic tricks, so that people at home don’t have to stress themselves out.
• Spooky interiors. Halloween is nothing without the right setting. Get it right for the home by scattering dangling spider webs, pumpkins, and bats all over the place. Get creative with bats by tracing them on and cutting them out of felt paper and stick them on doors, walls, and even tables. Use red and yellow Christmas lights and drape them over other decorations.
• Cool fires. Take long strips of red, orange and yellow crepe paper and attach them around the face of a Hanabishi ground fan, such as the Windmill 16GF, which comes in a variety of colors and a motor protected by a thermal fuse. Lay the fan on its back and watch flames shoot up when you turn the fan on.
• Bloody refreshment. Be sure to keep the Halloween theme going, even with the food and beverages. Start by serving blood-red drinks colored by pomegranates. You can do this by extracting the juice using the Hanabishi Juicer HPJ 50 with a convenient two-speed slide switch control.
• Broomstick bread. Have a little fun with baking by shaping the dough into a handle, with one end fanning out in fingers to form the bristles of the broom. Grate cheese over the fanned end and bake the bread in a Hanabishi Electric oven. The stainless-steel HDEO 45MPSS oven has both convection and rotisserie capabilities that make the product flexible, from baking to roasting. Wait for the bread to turn golden brown when the cheese starts to get a little burnt to make the bristly end stand out.
• See the horror. Of course, the best holidays should make people bond with one another. Put a Halloween spin to regular movie nights by watching horror movies on the ultraslim Hanabishi HLED televisions that feature enhanced color imaging and full high-definition resolution. Enjoy titles like Hocus Pocus and The Haunted Mansion with the family, or The Shining and The Blair Witch Project with friends.
