The Department of Trade and Industry has warned all contractors that support@dti.gov.ph is a bogus email address and not authorized by the DTI. The seminars/trainings advertised using the e-mail are not authorized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (CIAP) and the Philippine Contractor’s Accreditation Board (PCAB).
Likewise, the purported Board Resolution No. 434, Series of 2017 which was shown to be issued by the PCAB on 18 January 2017, requiring the mandatory Training/Seminar for CFY 2017-2018 and CFY 2018-2019 or the “Completion of Five Days Seminar Course for Standardization of Management and Impletion (sic) of ISO 9001- 2015 as a pre-requisite requirement to filing(sic) of Application for New Contractor’s License” does not exist.
Contractors are advised to exercise caution and verify from PCAB before undertaking action regarding compliance with application requirements stated in various advertisements. The Authorize Managing Office (Amo) and Construction Safety and Health Seminar (Cosh) seminars are the only required seminars for new applications and the ISO 9001-2015 is not a pre-requisite to the filing of said application.
The Amo Seminar is a two-day seminar that is intended to equip the contractor/applicant with the basic knowledge on construction safety, building and lien laws, taxation, labor and other relevant laws, and the basic principles of the construction business while Cosh is a forty hour seminar that is intended to equip the contractor/applicant with the knowledge on standard occupational safety, health, practices and processes in construction industry.
Any information regarding the persons/entities responsible for this scam may be reported to PCAB hotline at 895-4220/895-4258 for appropriate action.
