Filipino cybersecurity expert receives Global Achievement Award from int’l IT organization

The International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2), the world’s largest IT security organization, recognized Filipino technology expert Ricson Singson Que, with the 2024 ISC2 Inclusion Impact Award for the Asia Pacific Region.

ISC2 likewise bestowed the Inclusion Impact Award to SLAMM Technologies Director of Operations Francisca Boateng for the Americas and Bouygues Construction Head of Cybersecurity Governance, Risk & Compliance Zoé Cuisin for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The leading member association of nearly 675,000 cybersecurity professionals from across the globe, ISC2 strengthens the influence, diversity, and vitality of the field as well as accelerates cyber safety and security through advocacy, specialties, and workforce empowerment.

The prestigious citation, which was recently bestowed to Singson Que pre-ISC2 Security Congress 2024, celebrates “individuals who have made significant contributions to driving a more diverse workforce in the global cybersecurity community.”

Singson Que, the CEO of SQrity Consulting and a faculty member of the Cybersecurity Program under the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) School of Management and Information Technology (SMIT), is equipped with over two decades of experience with specializations in Information and Cyber Security Training, Governance, and Planning.  

He is a fellow of the Philippine Public Safety College under the National Cyber Training Institute and has served as a validator for the Philippine Skills Framework CyberSecurity Track under the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). 

The expert is currently the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of a leading retail membership shopping, a leading investment firm and securities and brokerage firm in the Philippines, one of the top 3 universities in the country, as well as a school network of 11 institutions, to include some based in Indonesia.

Singson Que finished his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science as well as Master of Business Administration (MBA) at DLSU.
