The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has achieved a major milestone in its digital transformation, announcing that over 99% of its transactions—including those under the Digital GINHAWA program—were processed online during the first half of 2025.
GSIS President and General Manager Jose Arnulfo “Wick” Veloso proudly reported that from January to June, nearly all services—such as loan applications, member information inquiries, and pensioners’ status renewal—were accessed via the GSIS Touch mobile app and GWAPS (GSIS Wireless Automated Processing System) kiosks.
“This digital transformation translates to greater convenience: members can transact anytime, anywhere, without waiting in line at GSIS offices,” Veloso said.
He emphasized the value of Digital GINHAWA, noting that “it means comfort, accessibility, and peace of mind for our members. Now, applying for loans, checking records, and accessing benefits can all be done with just a few taps on your phone.”
Data from GSIS shows that online loan applications increased from 98.5% in Q1 to 99.1% in Q2, while loan computation requests consistently surpassed 99.5% throughout the period.
Veloso also reported a surge in digital use for APIR (Annual Pensioners’ Information Revalidation), with 95% of transactions done digitally in Q1, rising to 97% in Q2.
“These figures highlight our members’ growing preference for ‘Digital GINHAWA’ and the convenience of doing essential transactions online,” he noted.
With over two million registered users, the GSIS Touch app now offers 24/7 access to loan applications, benefit tracking, pensioners’ compliance (APIR), and more—empowering members across the country and abroad to manage their accounts seamlessly.
To close, Veloso encouraged all members and pensioners to download the GSIS Touch app and update their contact information to ensure uninterrupted digital access.
“We are committed to expanding our digital services so that every member can experience Digital GINHAWA, wherever they are,” he said.
