GSIS urges members to file claims promptly for faster typhoon recovery

In the aftermath of Typhoons Tino and Uwan, the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has called on government agencies and individual members to immediately file their insurance claims to help speed up recovery in severely affected areas.

Recognizing the widespread damage caused by the back-to-back storms, GSIS President and General Manager Arnulfo “Wick” Veloso said the agency has begun prioritizing the processing of claims to provide timely financial assistance to those whose properties and infrastructure sustained heavy losses.

“In the face of these successive calamities, our commitment is to help our members and our nation rebuild as quickly as possible,” Veloso said. “Insuring your properties provides a critical safety net, and the GSIS is here to ensure that our clients receive the benefits they are entitled to without delay.”

To facilitate faster assistance, GSIS encourages affected clients to notify the agency immediately—even before completing all formal documents—so that assessments and support procedures can begin at once. TRACY CABRERA
