Has WW3 begun?

Russia has officially invaded Ukraine. Conventional missiles have bombed airports and military installations throughout Ukraine to prevent European and NATO countries from helping Ukraine.

Before the influx of Russian troops into Ukraine, missiles have been coming from the north (Belarus), south (Crimea), and east (Russia).

Russian president Vladimir Putin announced authorizing the mobilization of troops into the Donbas region where rebel-controlled Donetsk and Luhansk are located.

Putin rationalized his decision as recognition of the independence of Donetsk and Luhansk from the Ukrainian government.

Last-minute efforts by the United Nations Security Council which is chaired at this time by Russia failed to stop the invasion.

Putin called the Russian troops as peacekeeping corps to prevent the Ukrainian military from retaking Donbas.

Economic sanctions by the US and European Union are perceived ineffective to cripple the Russian economy because China has declared support to Russia in case this happens.

India also said it disagrees with sanctioning Russia.

Meanwhile, the US and other diplomats are closely watching China if they will invade Taiwan while focus is on Ukraine.

Observers say China is closely watching how the US will react in the Ukraine-Russia crisis to determine the actual American military strength.

Japan and Taiwan are in heightened alert since the start of the Ukraine war.

If the US reacts with economic sanctions on China in case of invasion of Taiwan, it will have the same effect – war continues.

Putin has threatened that if the US and NATO come into Ukraine’s help, be prepared for radioactive ash.

The use of nuclear missiles in Europe will also trigger nuclear holocaust if the US comes to the aid of Taiwan.

Just as Russia is destroying possible areas for NATO forces to arrive in Ukraine, China will immediately target Philippine airports that can serve as refueling stops for US military jets.

It only takes one person – either the president of Russia or China – to decide to use nuclear missiles and billions will die. No winners.

Russia will have China as ally. Russia will not be isolated. Other anti-US countries will side with Russia.

The Philippines is definitely labeled as a US ally. Russian and Chinese missiles will definitely have Philippine targets.

Where are the bomb shelters in Metro Manila? Did we even think of building them? We are not innocent by-standers in this war. Prayers will not be enough. Talk and promises by the presidentiables will not save us. We could be facing the next world war and bravery is not enough.
